High Above Moab

I’ve been planning for a while to do a full one-day circumnavigation of the White Rim in Canyonlands National Park and if the weather holds for this Saturday, I’m planning to give it a go.  Preparation has included big training rides to prep but today was exhaustive and included a lot of walking, route-finding and technical climbing.  As the photos show, there are more than a few spots where dismounting is recommended!  This is a pretty intense ride (33 miles, 3,300 feet, 4:42:45).  I would not recommend it or do it again, though the views of Moab and the Red Valley are spectacular and the weather today was absolutely perfect.
