Well we decided to delay Cantenna construction for a day in order to get another day of training in before next Saturday. With work, packing and travel time next week, we just have this weekend left for big rides. The 18 hours of Fruita is quickly approaching and with Tim slated for 12 hours of riding and me 6, we have some more endurance building to do.
To fit it all in with a website work day, I got up early to get started. By noon, I’d put in 6 hours “at the office” and we got ready for riding. We decided to leave the house and ride 10 miles up to Teton Village. From there it was 8 miles up the Moose Wilson road until we got to the Park. The Park is closed for one more week to cars, so despite the chill in the air (40 degrees…brrrr), it was still delightful to be able to take up the entire road.
Once in the Park, we ticked off another 10 miles before I was ready to head home. Tim had another hour in him, but we both turned around anyway to head back. 4 hours and 50 miles later we exhaustedly turned back up the driveway. Though it was easy flat road riding, but I was beat when it was all done.
Then it was off to the shower and spicy roast chicken and a 9:00 pm bed time. We are back on the chicken wagon after a delicious beef break last night (Ann you caught us!) . For inspiration for tomorrow’s ride, Tim found this video. One word…WOW!!
