23 years ago a tradition began. Billyfest #1 was held in Blackstone to celebrate the birth of Mr. Billy Coleburn. Today, Tim and I have decided to resurrect this great occasion.
Happy Birthday Billy!
Last night the celebrations began with a trip to Blackstone’s Acapulco Mexican Restaurant where we met up with Billy, Joyce and their beautiful girls, Caroline and Mary Catherine. We ate quesadillas and toasted Billy with Coronas. At the end of the night, the staff of Acapulco surrounded us with a Spanish Happy Birthday tune.
We then went back to the Coleburn household and stayed up far too late in the night laughing and telling tales. We were there at midnight to officially wish Billy Happy Birthday. The celebrations continue today with family time and ribbon cuttings. I figure it’s just a matter of time until Billyfest becomes a city holiday.
Today Tim will prepare for the overnight Cannonball Run to Talledega. I’m heading to West Virginia for some great family time. We’ll be back on Monday with some highly entertaining tale of his Alabama adventures!

Hey you two!!! Dad & I have been on the road also(saw Ross&Brenda, then on thru to Ca. to see Dora for some info on the upcoming event!) so I didn’t get a chance to read the “everyday adventures”. When I finally sat down to read….it was like a great story I just didn’t want to end!!!
You have had so many wonderful adventures and Tim’s pics are so incredible they totally bring them alive!!!How our mouths watered with every meal!!! I really enjoyed the trip to see your family heritage…..wow!!! You could be in the D.A.R.!!! 
We are so sorry to hear of the terrible accident and will send our energy of love to those who are suffering their grief as well as to you both.
The up coming race and guys week-end sounds great and we wish Tim all the best…..YOU GO BUDDY !!!! hmmm….can you imagine how many free shots we could get with these gals….Keep it up you two…we love it!!
