Bound for Maine

When Tim and I woke up this morning, we were exhausted but still glowing from the fun of the night before.   Thank you to everyone who made the U2 show such a great time.  U2 was amazing, but I think it was the company that really made it memorable.

Our day started slowly.  We worked and napped and cleaned up Frank.   Chico stayed home for the day, so the three of us cleaned up crushed Cheetos, stray beer cans, and mysterious stickiness in the van.   By 6 pm we were ready for the road again.  Another long nap later, Tim and I drove away from Oakton on our way to New York City.  We’re cruising up I95 to Portland, Maine and want to get past the big East Coast cities of DC, Baltimore, Philly and NYC tonight while traffic is quiet.   It’s about 300 miles but that seems like nothing after our marathon stretches across country.

With route planning from Weiser and Chico in hand, we are heading towards these big cities.  I wish we had time to stay and explore but the coast of Acadia calls so we’re staying focused.   We’ve got lots to see.  I think a year of travel may be too short!
