After 4000 miles of travel over the past 12 days, we enjoyed an extremely relaxing day in the Viscovich household in Oakton Virginia. The day started with hugs from Sophie and Anna before they went to school. Tim and I then got ready for a full workday, the first in weeks that wasn’t spent on a highway. Tim sat outside on Chico and Mel’s back deck and worked in the sun while I was on the couch answering calls and fixing computers.
Tim even made it out for the first bike ride he’s had in 2 weeks on the Cross County Trail (CCT for short). He got caught in an afternoon shower on the way back but that didn’t dent his enjoyment of being on the bike again. He is happiest when his feet are peddling and he was grinning a muddy grin after he returned.
I got caught up with work and felt like we were getting in the remote groove again. At 3:00, everyone started arriving home and we gladly put our work away and started to enjoy the evening and good company. Tim and I went to the local Giant and bought pounds and pounds of food for the tomorrow’s U2 concert, while Mel and Chico whipped up a delicious dinner at home. Mel’s dad is in town and we all relaxed outside for one of the last outdoor meals of the season before things get too cool.
Then it was early to bed in preparation for a very big day of fun tomorrow. We can’t wait to see everyone and jump up and down to Bono and the Edge. But today’s relaxed pace suited us fine as well.

Have a fun time tonight and a safe trip up to Maine tomorrow. Get ready for COOL weather….48 here this morning. Love ya!
