The past few days have been crazy busy and while we don’t have any plans this weekend, we need some quiet relaxation, some cleanup and repair time. We’ve both been pretty burned out on the blog and have been discussing taking a leave of absence before we start traveling next month. After giving it a lot of thought, and not having time or energy to post the past two days, we have decided to take the month of August off! We’ve got a few backpacking trips planned as well as bike races and may post random stories or photos from these trips and events but currently need a break from writing every day.
Not to worry though… We’ll be back in September with a likely redesign of the site and preparations for a year on the road! It’s summertime and time for R&R!! See you all in a few weeks!

I couldn’t agree more! Enjoy your vacation from the blog! But how will I start my mornings now? Somehow Facebook just doesn’t fill the void!
I have long contended that the blog should be called, “Every Other Day” or even “Every Other Week”. While it is a fact that the photos are awesome and the narrative is always interesting and informative, writing the blog every day is just too much work.
Enjoy the break and the temporary relative anonymity. Rest up.

I have missed the blog soooooo much!! Don’t need to change a thing in my opinion, love the photo at top of page with Mary Lynn in slot canyons. Do like the “Where’s Frank?” side bar and it will be especially helpful as you travel around the country. FYI, Buffett is playing in Charlottesville on Nov 17, in case you didn’t know, since you will be around VA during that time. I’m ANXIOUSLY awaiting the return of the blog on a daily basis. Love ya!!
