Back in Frank

Sunset on Shadow Mountain Today was all day meetings for Tim. Everyone in Vertical Media (except the much missed Thai contingent of BJ and Lisa who participated by phone from 10 pm to 6 am in their morning) have gathered in Jackson for a day of meetings, followed by a day of community service and then a night of camping.

Today’s meetings were a success and now Tim, Dan and Wolste have moved on to Shadow Mountain to set up camp on the hill.   The good folks of the park service have sadly banned us from camping at our favorite spot.  Our picturs from 4th July are the last that Frank will have of that view.  Tim’s photo marks the end of an era.   I guess the land couldn’t support all the traffic.  I feel lucky we  had so many evenings to enjoy it while we had it.

Tomorrow the Vertical Media team will get busy on some hard labor as they donate their time to the White Grass Ranch in Grand Teton National Park. Last year they reroofed an historic cabin. Who knows what tomorrow will bring!

While Tim ran meetings, I fixed computers. It was less adventurous than yesterday’s work day and I stayed in the office fighting the good fight with Microsoft. It’s a love hate relationship for computer consultants. We love to hate MS, but Bill Gates definitely pays the rent.

I ended the day with a bike ride up Cache Creek. The weather was sunny and cool, almost Fall-like. Yep we haven’t even hit August 1st and the leaves will start turning yellow at this rate. But cool or not, it was perfect biking weather and I had an awesome evening. It was topped off with dinner with Ann and Scott and then a relaxing day catching up on blogs and news.  Tomorrow I’ll join Tim for some camping on Shadow.  We’ll need to find a new favorite spot.  Fortunately on this mountain, there are no bad views.
