On The Shadow of the Tetons

Shadow Sunset

Today 3095 Mallard Drive will be full of Virginia ladies.  Several of Ann’s sorority sisters from Virginia Tech are coming to visit for the weekend and experience the Valley for the first time.  Since the house will be full, Tim and I decided to temporarily move out so that there would be more beds available.

After work, we headed for the hills.  We drove back out to Shadow Mountain, a butte located right in the center of Teton Valley.  We drove up to one of our favorite spots and were glad to see we were all by ourselves.  We set up the satellite and are settling in for the next few days.

We’ll recapture our remote work lifestyle in the mountains.  Since being back at home over the past few weeks, Tim and I have slipped back into routine of heading to the office (or in Tim’s case his bedroom desk) for work.  We really enjoy the energy we get from working outside in the van.  I think it’s the feeling of change and variety that keeps us on our toes!

Tonight we’re perched on Shadow under the Tetons.   Despite our perfect weather today, storms rolled in over the course of the evening, making for Tim’s dramatic picture over the mountains. Tomorrow morning’s sunrise promises to be equally beautiful. It’s good to be outside again!
