Goodbye Tan

Waiting for the Sun Today it rained.  And it rained.  And it rained.

I guess Tim and I brought it back with us from the desert.  Let’s just say there’s no worries about drought this spring.   Unfortunately it’s also impacting biking, hiking and Tim’s hard earned desert tan.   But despite these sad losses (Tim’s biggest lament has definitely been the tan) we are looking on the bright side.  With the rain comes, it brings beautiful flowers in Ann and Scott’s backyard, reduced allergies for Tim, and lots of green in the Valley.   It’s not so bad, though a dry day will be welcome when it arrives.

While the rain falls, Tim and I are getting caught up after a month of travel.  We’re working a lot, organizing apartment rentals and I’ve been marketing web design.  After many experiments, I finally decided on a name: Moxy.    It’s fun, interesting and has an X.  Apparently any public company with an X in the name historically does better in the Stock market than those without.  While it’s a bit early to make plans for a public offering, I figure it’s good precedent!

While all this is fun, the real excitement has been our plans for our year long escapade around the States.  We now know for sure that it’s the right thing to do just based on the inspiration and injection of anticipation we feel when we hatch our plans.  While we were looking forward to NYC, we hadn’t jumped on the planning and preparation.  But now that we’ve got a US tour ahead of us, we’ve been researching festivals, checking areas we’re excited about and making plans.  We can’t wait to get back on the road.
