After a long winter, Tim and I are finally heading South. We drove out of Jackson in a snow squall. A perfect exit in light of our prolonged cold season. Now we’ve just hit the Wyoming/Colorado border and are hoping to make it all the way to Fruita tonight. Thanks to Julianne’s modified route, we’ve been able to cut our 9 hour journey to 7 1/2. We started at 6 pm so it will be one of our typical late evenings, but if we are able to wake up in 70 degree temperatures, the results will be well worth it.
Meanwhile we’ll continue on down this very lonely Colorado road until we see the bright lights of Maybell, our next destination. We’ll see you back here once we’re in Fruita!
