“given enough coffee, I could rule [...] is a change [...] After a long winter, Tim and I are finally heading South. We drove out of Jackson in a snow squall. A perfect exit in light of our prolonged cold season. Now we’ve just hit the Wyoming/Colorado border and are hoping to make it all the way to Fruita tonight. Thanks to Julianne’s modified route, we’ve [...] is mixed snow [...] Some days you feel like PacMan. Some days you feel like a Power Pellet. I asked Tim which one fit him today. “Power Pellet”, he said, “most definitely a power pellet.” Today he had a ton going on and he felt like there was an enormous PacMan bearing down on him with VM [...] [...] still feels like [...] After work and a bike ride for the day, Tim and I settled down for a very valuable lesson. How to Change a Bike Tire. Despite riding bikes for over 20 years (yeesh, that’s a long time), I have never once ever changed a tire. It’s just not a skill that [...] feels a cold hard frost [...] Today it was a packing day. Tim spent most the afternoon climbing up and down Frank packing the Space Cadet bin. The satellite is tucked away, climbing gear is stowed, and the bed made with summer sheets. We just need a few sets of clothes and some dinners and Frank will [...] @kinkstr it [...] is Snowfall Expected Next 24 Hours: 6 [...] Well we decided to delay Cantenna construction for a day in order to get another day of training in before next Saturday. With work, packing and travel time next week, we just have this weekend left for big rides. The 18 hours of Fruita is quickly approaching and with Tim slated for 12 hours of [...] As Tim and I wrapped up an evening of climbing, hot dogs, and “Kung Fu Hustle” – compliments of Sam and Mareika- and headed to bed, we went over our list of things to do before we left town. Straighten up the house, pack the van, shop for supplies…and then Tim threw in the kicker. [...] five more inches of snow brings the total to 541″ for [...] Today we had…more training. It was another early morning and another day of meetings and work. But once we were done, we each hopped on our bikes for some riding. I never thought I’d say it, but exercise truly is addictive. After a few weeks of aches and pains, it really seems natural [...] is not [...] Happy Earth Day! In an effort to be more earth conscious, Tim rode his bike to and from meetings in town and I cleaned Frank with biodegradeable cleaning products. There was a fair bit of recycling done from those cleaning efforts too! Small steps to decrease our carbon footprint, but everything counts [...] |
