Tonight Tim and I are recovering from a long day of meetings, meetings, meetings. Though we each had big goals for getting things done this evening, we ended up relaxing instead. With 50 inches of snow falling on Alta slopes since Monday, our trip to SLC was 5 days too soon for some of the best powder skiing you could ever ask for. After a huge weekend of activity and a late night’s drive last evening Tim and I were beat. We sluggishly woke up this morning after getting home after midnight. I’ve increased my credit score. I’ve found additional sources of income. But everytime I’ve sat down with various lenders, a new obstacle seems to get in the way. It’s as if the Universe [...] Yesterday was a BIG birthday! We woke up at 7:30 when Jimmie began serving up chocolate chip pancakes. Mimosas were flowing and we toasted to Tim’s 39th year. From there we drove to the Canyons for a morning of skiing. It was 65 degrees and sloppy but the skiing was fun. We went high [...] Birthday Day is here! The day began with chocolate chip pancakes and Mimosa’s. We’re heading to the Canyons for the morning skiing and then straight to Fiddlers for the Carolina game. We should have about 20 folks there cheering for Tim’s perfect birthday scenario. Carolina – WIN, Duke – LOSS! From there we’ve hired a van [...] Today was a celebration of snow, sun, basketball and Frazier! We woke up at Jimmie and Keri’s and slowly got moving. I was going to get new tires for the Jeep while Tim, Chico and Kevin went to Sundance to skiing. It was 70 degrees at the ski area so it was all slush. Chico [...] Today and tomorrow have to represent the best in sports. It’s the only time that 1) every single game is important and 64 teams play in 2 days; 2) four games are played simultaneously in 4 different sessions throughout the day; and 3) work shuts down in the name of sports (at least in [...] This morning found Tim and Jimmie at the mechanics. After too much partying, Frank was out of juice. Literally. The van’s house battery and engine battery had both run down and there was no alternator to revive him. Today Tim returned to Butte, Montana with Jimmie Shell to celebrate the day of the Irish. They got there in time for the annual parade which featured leprechauns, green beards and men in coconuts. For some places, it’s the cheerful robins that signify the end of winter, but here in Wyoming as soon as the mud gets 3 inches deep, we know Spring is upon us. The wind howled, the rain fell and Tim and Jimmie took to the [...] It was a day of 100% basketball. After a slow start, Jimmie, Tim and I went to Sidewinders to watch the ACC Championship. Betsy and Tim C and Dana joined us and the talk was all basketball. There are no excuses, but I have to attribute it to a terrible day of basketball. It began with UNC. Ty Lawson, UNC’s point guard and the ACC player of the year is out with a bruised big toe so we knew the [...] For the the second time in two months, we’ve been treated to a Friday the 13th. For me it was a day of ups and downs, living up to it’s reputation. Work started on an up note. Ed, Zach and I hung out in the office, joking and getting things done.
