Somedays it’s very hard to decide which of the hundreds of pictures should be the Blog Picture of the Day. Today was one of those days. With so many great captured moments, it was hard to choose.
Tim woke up very early this morning by the sound of Weiser’s “OH NO”. Tim was supposed to be up and ready for First Track skiing by 6:45 and he was still in bed. Weiser patiently waited while he got ready and they left well before the sun rose. First Tracks was the opportunity to ski fresh groomed Canyons corderoy at sunrise with Olympic gold winning skier Jonny Moseley. Trish, Tim, Mark, Joe and Chico all went and had a once in a life time chance for some instruction, autographs and good pictures with the world famous skier. Our picture of the day is of Jonny doing what he does so well…tearing it up.
Meanwhile, Jimmy, Casey, Georgia, Kev and I got ready to ski Alta. It’s a favorite must-do resort at 429-a-palooza. 15 years ago, Weiser spent a winter here and knows the mountain inside and out. He’s a great tourguide and we always have fun there. We met up with the First Tracks crew in the resort parking lot and spent the whole day in the powdery sunshine.
We got home just in time to catch the World Cup Aerials. The American was won with a Full Lay Full Full. It was no Kiss Ass Blaster, but it was pretty amazing all the same!
