Desert Vistas

Sonoran Desert It was a bright sunny wake up this morning. The sky was a brilliant blue, the sun high above, and the temperatures a perfect 75. I love Jackson, but in midwinter, this is heaven.

Mom and John picked me up and we met up with Peg, Joe, Brie and Timmy for some museum time, while Tim worked. We toured the awesome Tucson Museum of Art. Peg is an accomplished artist, so it’s really interesting to view art with her. She is able to pick out nuances and details that I never would have noticed.

From there we grabbed Tim and went to meet Ross and Brenda at the airport. They flew in from Denver this morning.  The minute they landed we seemed to be laughing and that continued throughout the day and long into the night.  It’s great to see my brother and sister-in-law again.

After everyone was settled in cars and hotels, we were on the run again to the rehearsal venue.  Ross, Brenda, Tim and I aren’t in the wedding and we made up the Peanut Gallery for the rehearsal.  Somehow despite our continuous giggles in the back row, we got invited to the rehearsal dinner as well.  It was steak night at McGraw’s Cantina (actually their sign and menu declare in all bold that Tuesday is indeed STEAKNIGHT) so we ordered the house special.

As promised it was delicious. Finally we ended the night with a nightcap at The Shelter, a very groovy martini bar and then went to bed.   It’s been hysterical.  Tomorrow will be even better!
