Tuesday night and we are scheduled to serve sushi and margaritas to twelve friends. How did this happen?….it’s the middle of the week? Oh wait, I invited everyone AND planned the menu. Well despite the labor intensive appetizer list, thank you to everyone who helped make this mid week party a big success!
It started as one last going away dinner for Martha who is leaving on November 5th for 6 months in South East Asia. It quickly grew to a good bye to Gretchen and Brad and BJ and Lisa both from us and also from Dan and Rebecca who are in town as well as Bob and Clara. Gretchen and Brad are traveling to New Zealand with BJ and Lisa and then coming home. I can’t wait to ski with them again. BJ and Lisa are gone for the year. We’ll miss them a ton…thank goodness for Skype!
During our goodbyes, we also worked on Belle’s socialization skills. Bob and Clara brought their poodle Roxy, who has always gotten along with Belle in the past. Tonight was no exception. Roxy stepped foot in Belle’s territory and felt it was her own…and Belle was ok with it! They romped and played under close supervision.
It was another great night with friends. We wish Martha, BJ and Lisa and Gretchen and Brad the very best in their travels! We can’t wait to see you again!
