Aspen Extreme

It’s October 1st and the season in Jackson is starting to turn already.  The beautiful Fall colors are fluttering to the ground.  Jackson’s aspens peaked last weekend and now the trees are looking bare.  After our long winter last year, we’re trying to put off the inevitable for as long as possible, but the harbinger is nearly here….that’s right, it’s almost time for the first seasonal showing of Hot Dog the Movie.

This 80′s cult ski classic inspires most Jacksonites for days of great skiing and big powder.  Some movies definitely get better with time and this is one.  While Tim and I are going to chase the sun for a few more adventures, even we are starting to think white wintery thoughts.  This year the JH Tram will be back, the almanac predicts another great winter, and I am going to get some new boots.  We’ll be ready for the snow when it comes.

Meanwhile, while the leaves were busy blowing off the trees, Tim and I were hard at work.  We reluctantly said goodbye to Jimmie Shell, who was heading back to Salt Lake City, and buckled down.  We’ve been doing a fair bit of playing and now it’s back to our goals for the Fall.  Tim continues to learn more about stocks and I am working on developing a business.  Tonight Tim planned for tomorrow’s Wallstreet purchases and I worked on my website.   There’s much to be done before skiing distracts us.
