This morning we stirred in our sleep from the giggles of small children. That laughter belonged to Parker and Ann Holcomb as Jimmie Shell hoisted them up to our bed in Frank. In 10 seconds, we went from deep slumber to mayhem as a 6 year old and 4 year old brought us all good morning tidings.
After our rousting, we got up to enjoy another spectacular, warm Fall day. Everyone in camp had different plans, so we all shared breakfast and then went our separate ways. Jimmie, Tim and I were heading back home for a bike ride.
On our way, we drove into Grand Teton National Park for some more pictures. Photographers were stacked up along the road, capturing Fall colors, a large moose harem, and countless other images. We drove until we found a more private spot to set up the tripod. Our pictures of the day is Tim’s panorama of Mount Moran and Jimmie’s photo of Tim while he took the shot. As photographer, Tim is rarely seen in the blog, it’s nice to have him here!
After arriving back home we decided to make up for a lazy day yesterday with some exercise today. We took our bikes and rode up Cache Creek and back down Hagen. The trails are in perfect shape. Jimmie even survived the Hagen Staircase, a nearly vertical singletrack downhill maze of logs and root drops. We ended the night with lamb, chocolate and football. It was a terrific day in a terrific weekend.
One Last Note: Yesterday we missed wishing Dave Viscovich, a very Happy Birthday! So today we want to make up with belated wishes. We hope it was a great day!
