We’re almost home! It’s time to go back to Wyoming, so this morning, we got on the road at 7 am Vegas time and drove out of town.
Our night in the city was awesome even if a little tame by Vegas standards. We walked about a mile and a half to dinner. It was further than we remembered but the night air was warm and it was good to be out and about. We had a great dinner at Margaritaville, checked out some casinos, but no gambling. We already tested our luck in our now decimated NCAA brackets (Texas was NOT supposed to lose), so we figured we better not push it any further.
Today we’ve been in the car all day, switching out drivers so the other can work. We’ve had cell service nearly the entire way so it’s been very productive for a travel day. As long as we have service, we have internet so we’ve both been online. We did take time out to swing back through Salt Lake and see Dirk, Tim’s buddy from Delta, and Nicole, his fiance. Our first trip through was a quick 15 minute hello, so this time we sat down and had lunch. It was a much better catchup.
Now as we approach Jackson, there is more and more snow on the ground. Since we left two weeks ago, 71 inches have fallen. It’s going to be a major shock to be home after our warm weeks in the desert. The Village closes in 1 week and there is still 140 inches of skiable powder in the Bowl. We’ll be skiing in the backcountry until July at this rate. Good thing, because I still have a lot of Glory runs to fit in before it melts.

Whew!! So glad you’re back home. I must admit I didn’t care for the “climbing” adventure….hope you’re not planning anything like that for our trip out next month!! How about those HEELS!! Just 2 more games, hopefully, and it’ll be over. Sure hate for it to end!! IT’s been a good season. Love ya!!
