We’re almost home! It’s time to go back to Wyoming, so this morning, we got on the road at 7 am Vegas time and drove out of town. Our night in the city was awesome even if a little tame by Vegas standards. We walked about a mile and a half to dinner. [...] Last night, after the Tarheels’ win over Louisville, Tim and I headed back to the party. They were showing some very cool climbing videos, presented by the climbers themselves. It’s inspiring to watch the things that people have scaled, but I can’t say I’d ever need to repeat their feats. There aren’t any [...] Today we woke up early in the Nevada desert. The days have been warm and sunny, about 75 degrees, perfect for climbing. We pulled ourselves together and caught the bus for our 8 am clinic. Tim’s clinic was Intro to Sport Climbing. Today we started our climbing adventure. The entire group of UClimb participants were divided up in between groups of 5 or 6. This meant we got an enormous amount of personalized instruction for the day. We headed into Red Rocks to a crag called “Cut your Teeth”.
