Tonight we’re on the road again!! ok, maybe we’re only sort of on the road. But at least we’re hanging out in Frank. Tonight we’ll drive 6 miles up the road to spend the night in Teton Village. Tim has 8 days left on his 10 day pass at Jackson so [...] Today was the day of the dreaded meeting…Tim spent all day in productive but intensive task producing meetings. He estimated that his task list increased by 75% while his email inbox contents quadrupled over the course of the day. Tomorrow is going to be catchup time. Tim’s morning took him over the Pass to Driggs for Teton Valley Cabin meetings while I stayed in Jackson and repaired, rebuilt and reformated. My meetings tend [...] Today was another beautiful day in Jackson. The snow is packing down in the chilly sun filled days and it feels like a Jackson February. Today Tim dropped off Bob and Clara at the airport to start their 12 month overdue honeymoon in New Zealand. They are off to the [...] The sun keeps shining and the snow is starting to melt – sometimes in fascinating formations! Ann pointed out this snow snake to Tim a few days ago, and it has just gotten better and better as the sun shines. Tim is still waiting for his Nikon to get back from California, [...] We made up for a relaxing day yesterday with a jam packed day today! We started early with a hike up Glory (only 17 more to go!). After a late night last night, it hurt – but wow, it was an incredible day to be outside. The weather was warm and [...] Today was a day of rest and productivity! After weeks of activity, we took a day off and relaxed. It was a morning of sleeping in, making a great breakfast of homemade Latkes, blueberry muffins and scrambled eggs, enjoying a decided win by the Tarheels over Virgina Tech (sorry Ann!) and [...] Today BJ’s Grandmother passed away. Over the past months, Tim and I both felt like we’d gotten to know her a little bit through BJ’s vivid storytelling. She was an extraordinary lady and I wish I’d gotten a chance to meet her. After the news, BJ reminded Tim [...] We did Valentines in style this year! The morning started with Dutch Apple Pancake and bacon. Tim’s recipe from Nene is one our favorite holiday traditions. It’s easy, light and incredibly tasty. It will definitely go into our Southern Cookbook! The morning was beautiful and [...] Today Tim and I scheduled our travel plans for the rest of the year. And it’s a lot. We’re driving from Jackson to Nevada, back to Jackson then to Arizona, on to North Carolina to Vancouver to Mexico to Virginia to New York. All in 9 months. Frank is going to earn his keep. [...] Tonight the Heels had another close call! It’s the feverishly competitive time leading up to the championships. Teams are in conference play and the Heels barely squeaked by 1 and 8 UVA. Every game counts and the Heels have had too many near misses. We need Ty Lawson back! We woke up to clearer weather and headed out to ski with BJ and Lisa. The untracked, wind packed snow was like skiing through cream cheese.
