Tonight we celebrated the Hokeys! Ann is a Virginia Tech alum and brings her fellow JH Hokeys together each year for the annual bowl game. This year we watched the Orange Bowl with friends, wasabi ginger mustard and pretzels, subs and a talking beer opener. While the game may have ended in a loss, it was a fun night of laughter, good food and talk.
Meanwhile Belle, Ann’s Great Pyrenees, kept her eye out for any dropped morsels. If no food was to be found, she cuddled up for a good snuggle….except this morning of course, when Tim was trying to bring Belle in the house. In this picture she stares Tim down through the door, but the minute Tim opened it she was off! 30 minutes and 5 venison treats later she was coaxed in out of the -5 degree weather so that Tim could head off to work. She’s quick on the take when food is around, as evidenced by my missing banana an hour earlier. We’ve learned our new roommate is hungry and fast. We’ve got to be careful!

Thanks to you both for being Hokies for a day. Belle, Calley and I (and Scott from a distance) are pleased to be included in your lives this year – and that you are such a significant part of our lives as well.
